ESB: feed-in payment from 2027

What ESB has published for 2027
- Pays the market price at the time you send power, plus the minimum premium.
- Applies from 1 January 2027 if you have a smart meter. Otherwise later.
- Guarantees of origin: 2.00 Rp./kWh on top.
- Rule for negative prices not published. We use the standard rule.
- Pays a bonus of 2.00 Rp./kWh for every kilowatt-hour you feed in if you cap your feed-in at 50 % of your system power (FlexPV50, contract needed).

What this means for a typical house
Example: 8 kWp, facing south, 30°, 7,000 kWh use a year, postcode 2502 (weather station Grenchen), with ESB's electricity price. Replayed with each year's real weather and prices.

Should you do something?
For this example house: Yes, but only the free step: Cap your feed-in power. It brings about CHF 82 a year, more than the CHF 65 the change costs you. Anything that costs money does not pay off for you.
